Who You're Dealing With

Estimates and Pricing

Estimates are free and given in good faith based on the information and access available at the time. An estimate is not a quotation and is a guide only; the final price may change if the scope of work, materials, or site conditions turn out to be different from those described.

A quotation is different from an estimate. It is a fixed price for the work described unless problems are encountered on the job - for example concealed damage, undersized existing cabling or an unsafe existing installation. In that case we will explain the position and agree any variation in price and scope with you before proceeding.

Estimates and quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Prices include labour and the materials described. VAT, if applicable, is shown separately.

Booking, Access and Cancellations

Booked dates are held for you once confirmed by phone, text, WhatsApp or email. Please give us reasonable notice if you need to move or cancel a booking so the slot can be re-used.

You agree to provide safe access to the property and to the areas the work affects, along with mains power and water where needed. Where furniture, floor coverings or fittings need moving, please arrange that in advance unless we have agreed otherwise.

Standard of Work and Certification

All work is carried out to BS 7671 (18th Edition) and tested on completion. You will be issued with the appropriate paperwork - a Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate, an Electrical Installation Certificate, or an EICR where an inspection has been carried out.

Where the work is notifiable under Part P of the Building Regulations, it is notified through our NICEIC registration.

Guarantee

Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion. Products and equipment we supply carry the manufacturer's own warranty. The guarantee does not cover faults caused by misuse, damage, alterations by others, or pre-existing parts of the installation we did not install or were not asked to make good.

Payment

Payment is due on completion unless different terms have been agreed in writing. Larger jobs may require a deposit towards materials, and staged payments where the work runs over several days.

Ownership of materials supplied by us passes to you once payment has been received in full.

Liability

We are £5m Public Liability and £250k Professional Indemnity Insured. We are responsible for damage caused by our own negligence, but not for pre-existing defects in the installation, or for loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable. Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer.

Complaints

If something isn't right, please tell us first - email contact@parkerselectrical.co.uk or call 07497 378 070 and we'll aim to put it right. As a NICEIC Approved Contractor, our work is also covered by NICEIC's complaints procedure.
